How do I get to your new location

From McPherson Church Rd:  From McPherson, go back and cross over Skibo Rd.  McPherson then becomes Yadkin Rd.  Follow Yadkin and take a right on Santa Fe and another immediate right into our parking lot right behind Sanford Lube.

From All American Highway:  IF your going towards Fort Bragg, exit on Santa Fe and take a left at the traffic light.  Drive about a 1/2 mile down Santa Fe and our shop will be to the left.  We are located right before you cross Yadkin Rd.

How far ahead do I need to Schedule an appointment?

We are trying to encourage our customers to schedule their next appointment after picking up their pet or at least schedule a week in advance appointment; however, we still do take in walk-ins up to 3:00 PM (time varies through the seasons).  However, we may refuse to take walk-ins if we are booked.

How long does it take to Have my pet groomed?

Usually for most pets, full body grooms usually take about 3-4 hours depending on how booked we are.  On Saturdays because of the overwhelming amount of pets we get, we do not promise times on when your pet is ready to be picked up.

Can I have the same groomer to do my pet?

Of course, if you were satisfied with your pet's last groom and want the same exact cut, just ask.

Why is there a price increase from last visit

There is either 2 reasons why the price would increase.  First, if your pet is badly matted or hair is unmanageable, a fee will be charged towards the standard grooming price.  Second, we charge a puppy price if your pet is under a year old.  Once your pet is past a year old, it will be charged as a standard adult.

[This is the answer to the question.]

What Can I do to prevent matted hair?

The only way to prevent matts is to brush your pets hair each night.  We provide a wide range of professional grooming brushes designed to keep dogs matt free.

What is the difference between flea shampoo and flea dip?

Every bath includes a flea dip if requested and flea shampoo is an extra charge of $2.50-$5.00 depending on the size of your pet.  Flea dip is a chemical that is sprayed onto the pet after bathing and Flea shampoo is a hypoallergenic shampoo used when washing.

Yes. That is the best way to ensure the safety of your pet while it is here. Your pet's safety and well- being is our top priority.

How long will i have to leave my pet there?

Most grooming takes 2-4 hours to complete, so please plan to leave your pet for AT LEAST that long. There are several variables that affect the amount of time your pet will be our guest, such as condition, length and texture of you pet's hair, the size and behavior of your pet, ect. We do our best to schedule the appointments by staggering the in times so that the stylists are able to begin on your pet immediately. As a result of those staggered in times, the amount of time you pet is here is greatly reduced. We will call you as soon as your pet is ready, so he/she won't have to be here any longer than necessary. However, we cannot guarantee a set amount of time: all time quotes are estimates. To ensure we have a correct contact number, PLEASE UPDATE your phone number as needed. We like to take our time to do a beautiful job, and your pet will remain more relaxed if he/she does not sense we were in a rush, so please allow us all the time we need to do the job right. Thank you!

Why don't you quote an exact amount on the phone?

Without seeing your pet we are not aware of what blades will get through certain types of coats, what condition the pet is in and what type of temperament the pet has. All these factors play a part in pricing, along with what type of style can be done on the pet versus what the owners want. In order to do a long style the pet has to be completely brushed out. We do not do extensive de-matting.  The safest and most painless way is to clip the pet down short and start all over again, then the owner can maintain the pet with proper brushing at home in between grooms. Extra fees could be applied to the extra time taken to clip down a pet because of matting or behavior and/or for a longer hand scissor style. So without seeing the pet, the condition of coat, and temperament, we can only estimate the cost.

When should my puppy have its first professional grooming?

After your pup has had two sets of vaccinations. Grooming for a pup should start as soon as possible,  this helps to let the pup become acquainted with the sounds of the salon environment, noises such as dryers, clippers, other dogs etc. For a pups first grooming We will probably NOT do a Full haircut.

Will my dog be taken outside while it is being grooming?

No. Being located near busy roads the safety of your pet would be put at risk if they were taken outside for a potty walk.  Please walk your pet before bringing them into the shop.  Please remember to clean up after your pet.  Paper towels, bags, etc. are provided, just ask.
